Hands-On Cemetery Preservation Workshop in Fayetteville, AR on April 25th

The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program has announced its schedule for spring cemetery preservation workshops.

A hands-on learning experience is available through a free cemetery conservation workshop to be held Saturday, April 25 at the Stearns/Gehring Chapel Cemetery at 1285 Milsap Road, Fayetteville, Arkansas from 9 am to 4 pm. Rusty Brenner from Texas Cemetery Restoration will provide instruction in cemetery monument conservation, preservation and restoration including hands on opportunity to clean and repair gravestones. Lunch will be provided by Christian Life Cathedral.  The morning session from 9 am to 12 pm will focus on cleaning monuments and the afternoon session from 1 pm to 4 pm will focus on leveling and repair of historic monuments.
